| Remarks | I was relaxed and laying in bed, predawn, just waking up, facing my bedroom window. When the flash happened my instant thought was that the sun blew up or flashed. I reflexed and covered my face, I had an adrenaline reaction and waited for a sound or vibration that never came. About a minute later I looked at my watch which read 3:58 am. |

| Remarks | Just an extremely bright, very round flash in one spot, like a camera flashbulb that left a retina shadow in my vision for several seconds afterwards. I did not detect movement, just a brilliant explosion. |
