Remarks | It was my second spectacular observation , I saw one near St. Louis some 25 or so years ago that i am almost certain was a "reentry" burnout because of the time it took to cross the horizon, again, a north to south direction. These always fascinate me, regardless. I have also watched the Perseid showers, photo- graphed eclipses and theHale-Bopp comet. Cool stuff. |

Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Went from a NNW to a SSE direction for more than a full second as I was traveling in a sse direction on Hwy US 13 and appeared to leave fragments as it traveled. Southern horizon was clouded and as it passed above the thin cloud layer, appeared to terminate wit a flash that was whiter than the bright, light yellow that it traveled its path with. |
Fragmentation | |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Bits and pieces seemed to trail off main object as if it were space junk.and It flashed as if an old time flash bulb near its termination. |
