RemarksAmazing. I was looking down when suddenly it was nearly as bright as day out. I turned and saw the fireball. The daylight-like brightness lasted only a few seconds. The size of the head and width of the tail were comparable to perhaps 40% of the size the moon appears. Looked like some classic comet pictures with the head with a nice streaking sparkler-like tail. Only saw it briefly, but, best in my many years of looking up.
