This report has been linked to the following event: Event 2649-2015
Observer
NameDaniel S
Experience Level3/5
RemarksI have watched several meteor showers before, and I am familiar with the appearance of satellites, iridium flares, etc. This object was moving too fast for a plane or satellite, but relatively slowly for a meteor (much slower than the Leonids, at least). I was surprised by the orange color--most meteors I have seen before were essentially white. Also, there was some definite fragmentation. There may have been a trail, but it was faint.
