RemarksI'm at 1200' elevation and have a completely clear 180' view of the ocean's horizon. The fireball appeared to be several miles out in the ocean, due South from where I was. There was a commercial fishing boat several miles out in the ocean with it's giant sodium lights on that appeared to be to the West of where I saw the fireball.

Remarksin the final 1-2 seconds that I saw it, it changed color from yellow to reddish, dimmed somewhat and expanded before it disappeared. This was all out over the ocean.
