RemarksBiggest. Meteor. Ever! I live in rural Idaho and it was very clear sky, no moon, and no other light pollution. Biggest piece was huge -- much bigger than Venus, say -- and the tails on it and the smaller pieces were very very long. lasted so long I thought about running inside the house to grab a camera or iPhone... but I didn't.
