Experience Level1/5
RemarksI have never seen a shooting star or meteor, so it was shocking. It appeared a landing/crash was imminent. I was driving south on I-97 near Farm Road in Crownsville, MD and it appeared to be maybe 200' above the treelines. It was moving down toward the ground and dipped below the trees. We continued to look in the woods and off the side to see if there was any glow/fire, etc. But did not. As I was driving south, the meteor was on the right (west..assuming 97 runs north and south) side of the highway.
