Observer
NameLilith S
Experience Level2/5
RemarksMy time frame isn't exact. We were walking to a friends house and didn't have a clock. But it was certainly between 7:30 and 7:50 PM. It took a few more minutes to get to our friends house. It was one of the biggest fireballs I've seen in a city setting.

Remarks__
Persistent train
ObservationYes
Duration4s
Length-
RemarksIt was a bright glowing train that broke apart into bright pieces then another smaller train streaked from the ball and pieces came from that before it disappeared over the trees by the creek where we were. There was no train when we lost sight.
Terminal flash
ObservationYes
RemarksI noticed it when a light too bright to be a plane was streaming at a very high speed.
Fragmentation
ObservationYes
RemarksGlowing fragments, roughly 1/4 to 1/7 the size of the ball came off in what looked like a pitched handful of pebbles. 2-3 of those were almost half the size of the ball. The next set after the second train was 2-3 fragments that still looked rather large. It was leaving behind the trees towards Bodega Bay and we were losing sight but they looked almost the size of the ball.
