Remarks | Definitely very bright, very large, and moving faster than anything I’ve ever seen aside from other “shooting stars”, but also VERY much closer. I felt like it was right above me, in the lower atmosphere (maybe higher than I thought). I had just stepped outside, was pulling on a sweatshirt, looked up to the half moon, and saw it in my peripheral vision to the east. It streaked across, towards the moon but below it, and seemed to break up and turn greenish, and then burned out as it was headed to the south/southeast. Very cool! |
