Remarks | I just happened to walk out of my garage and see this. I do try to catch meteor showers whenever I can, but this was pure luck and the most spectacular fireball I've ever seen. It was so bright and went so long and so low on the horizon that I expected to hear actual reports/booms. really happy I got to see it! |

Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Fireball went low on horizon and behind a nearby tree. Several bright flashes then illuminated the southeast portion of the surrounding sky. |
Fragmentation | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Saw at least 2, possibly more fragments right before it went behind aforementioned tree. Saw the flashes, thought I heard a very distant and faint popping noise, but can't be certain on that at all. |
