At first I thought it was a falling star, but realised it was much bigger and closer to Earth and appeared to be on fire. The fireball was traveling in a Nor-Easterly direction with what appeared to be a downward trajectory heading out over the Pacific Ocean.

The train was constantly behind the red ball of fire. It was glowing yellow/white in the centre; the outer edges and end of train where more transparent like particles which also glowed white.
