RemarksI contacted the uk fireball alliance with my sighting - I saw the blue fireball early this morning (about 12.40am 12th May). I was driving along a country road so there was absolutely no light pollution or other cars and it was insane, so big and low, right in front of me! I was googling meteors just now as I was telling my boyfriend about it and saw all the news articles about other people that saw it. It’s such a shame the dash cam in my van doesn’t work anymore as it was in perfect view of my windscreen!! Although the footage wouldn’t have done it any justice, the real thing was just incredible. Scary yet beautiful at the time! It was a huge fireball that trailed an amazing turquoise blue and then just sort of burned into giant glitter in the sky - and they advised me to report it on here too.
