Remarks**The location I’ve given may not be very accurate because I was driving at the time and it’s a quiet country road with few landmarks, let alone in the dark. I was driving along the road between Lockeridge and Alton Barnes near Marlborough, Wiltshire, at about 12.45am on Thursday morning when I noticed that the moon suddenly seemed a lot brighter. I looked up and a very bright green object with a streak behind it flew very fast and low across the sky in front of me and seemed to fizzle out as it disappeared into a field to my right (I guess it was moving East to West). I don’t know the exact location I was at. I guessed it must have been a meteor and now, having just read reports of people seeing a green fireball earlier that night, I guess maybe it was part of the same thing, though what I saw happened later than the one reported on the news.
