Terminal flash
ObservationYes
RemarksI saw the meteor soar across the horizon -I thought it was a shooting star at first because of the tail- but then the whole beach lit up as if it were the middle of the day or as if someone had just turned on loads of flood lights - then as it soared across the sky I saw it burn and break apart into about 8 separate fragments that soon fizzled out and disappeared! Almost like a firework.
Fragmentation
ObservationYes
RemarksThe fragmentation I saw is why I thought I was seeing a shooting star at first. I saw the fragmentation when the meteor first entered the atmosphere, then the bright light came, and then it broke apart into separate pieces.
