I was still awake and went to bathroom on 1st floor. I was facing the window towards the garden when the whole sky glowed brightly. I looked out the window and saw the last second of this as it then disappeared into nothing.

This was the brightest one I've ever seen. So much so that it lit up the whole sky and then 1..2 seconds later just burnt up.Looked like a shooting star but much closer and larger and lower down in the sky.
