Remarks | I just happened to see it when I looked up out of my lounge window, so probably missed the beginning of its track and the end was obscured by a hedge which extends 5 to 10 degrees above the horizon. I’m short sighted and didn’t have my glasses but it was larger than Venus appears without my glasses and perhaps a little brighter. In colour, it was somewhere between pale green and white with a greenish tinge.I saw and reported on the Isle of Wight fireball last year so I made a note of time and heading (using iPhone compass) within 2 minutes of the sighting. |
