Remarks | Early risers in the Midwestern USA states of Iowa, Missouri etc. saw this at 4:43:25 a.m. (10:43:25 UT) this morning. Check your cameras if you live in the Midwest and the cloud front cleared out in time. It was very bright on camera and the video shows that it was fairly slow taking more than 8 seconds to traverse its path seen here.At first glance, I thought that this was an obvious Quadrantid but now I'm not so sure. Any opinions? It looks off radiant by quite a bit to me. Maybe the radiant is that large? |
