This report has been linked to the following event: Event 4918-2021
Observer
NameMarcia D
Experience Level3/5
RemarksI was outside our condo ( top floor, unit 3C, with a 180 degree view over the Lake of the Ozarks) with about 6 friends, showing them how to use the SkyView Lite app on my iphone. I was pointing out Jupiter, as it was visable. Then the meteor appeared! The most FANTASTIC SKY EVENT I HAVE EVER, OR WILL PROBABLY EVER be fortunate enough to witness!! The night sky was clear, and I started yelling when the fireball appeared, several of my friends caught a glimpse of it. I was the only one who witnessed the entire event. I was stunned, and googled to see if there were any reports of the fireball. Until today when I found the dashcam video from that night, all I could find was a sighting caught on a deck cam from July of 2019, and it looked remarkedly similar. I was SO excited to get o report my sighting!!
