It appears to fracture and i heard only a small pop. I was running with ear warmers though so I cannot be sure if the pop is related but I heard it moments after seeing the fracturing of the meteor in the sky.

short streak across the sky and then just it looked like it broke apart sending a few outward trails and then totally ceased brightness/view
