RemarksThere is an airport approximately 1.5 miles south of my home. I was looking due south when the fireball occurred, and I initially thought it was an aircraft with an extremely bright landing light approaching the airport. I have over 40 years as a pilot and airport management professional, and I quickly realized that 1) it was moving much too fast to be an aircraft approaching the airport, and 2) the landing light of an aircraft approaching the airport would have been facing toward the airport and away from me, so it could not have been an aircraft.
