Bright green trail with smoky look at the front once it looked like it exploded

The was an initial bright green light that lit up the entire sky like a lightening storm. This cause me to look for it and I saw the trail last a second or two then the item in the front exploded causing a bright greenish light and a smoky shade around it.

When I saw the front item explode it looked like there were smaller piece mixed in the smoky trail before it disappeared.
