it was more of glowing train, like a tear drop that is suddenly very longated, than the front part split into seperated pieces with little tails

it was awsome the front part broke off into more glowing pieces with little fire trails behind each fragment as well. I would think is was maybe 4-6 of them. Can't remember the exact amount now.
