RemarksI saw it out of my peripheral while driving. Was a basketball size full flame. About 20 ft above ground, the flame went out and it likely hit the ground. It was dark out and I thought wow, that falling star was close. Then I heard the news of the meteor. Now I wish I would have marked my spot. There is quite a bit of cornfield through there and it has to be a chunk of that meteor. I would have guessed the flame was from a bonfire if it wasn’t in the middle of nowhere so that’s what made me think shooting star. Car was driving close to me so I didn’t slow but they backed way off after that.
