This report has been linked to the following event: Event 1281-2011

Experience Level2/5
RemarksI really think I saw a fireball (as opposed to my eyes playing tricks on me as I drove). Event duration not quite 1 second... long enough to think "whoa!". I have seen satellites, the ISS, and 'shooting stars'... this looked like the later but much bigger and brighter. I have looked for other reports this evening but found none.

RemarksI\'m not sure if I saw a terminal flash. What I would call the \'head\' was larger (2-3x) than the streak, but I can\'t recall if that was for the full duration (1 second) or just the ending moment.
