RemarksI only caught sight of the meteor when I was going to bed and viewed it through a window. Because of this and the layout of my house I have a much better idea of angles than had I seen it in open skies, I know it was 180 degrees from my location and as I was ascending the stairs and only part way up them the height is easier to assess. The speed was slower than shooting star, and many, many times brighter.
