RemarksI was driving north and the meteor appeared directly over my head heading in the same direction, but half way infront of me it made a significant downward trajectory. It went so low I wasn't sure if it disappeared behind mountains, or just out of the horizon view. It may have been white at very initial sight above, and it may have exploded into bright green or may have just became more clear in my line of sight. It was HUGE and bright bright green almost flashing brighter at moments maybe with white, or just that the light was so bright green that edges appeared white. There where 3 of us that saw it because it was so huge and bright it caught the eye of even those in the back seat. A few years ago I saw a huge white meteor that lasted for prob. 30 seconds and went across the entire sky from north to south and fragments where found in southern Arizona. That was so bright above me that when I was looking down I turned up to see what the light was. This new incident however was prob. 2 to 4 times brighter than that one, and very intense green but only lasted for a few seconds and disappeared. It literally looked like it should have hit the ground by the mountains in front of us. I have never seen anything like it. At first I almost thought it was a plane exploding and crashing because the color and intensity where so unusual. We just kept saying "it was so green, so bright and GREEN". Also I did not put this in the survey part but my 19 year old daughter said that she DID see a cone behind it, and I thought I did also but wasn't completely sure and did not put that in the survey part.
