RemarksI am a former military pilot and I was driving south on SR 1 south of Bluffton, IN when I observed a very small yellow dot of light appear approximately 10 degrees to my right and approximately 40 degrees above the horizon. The light did not have any relative motion and it appeared to become larger and brighter. The light became a brilliant white and then changed to a bright green and faded. As the color faded from white to green, I detected movement for the first time to the right and down. The light completely faded away before it was 30 degrees above the horizon. The light was visible for between 5 and ten seconds. To give you an idea of how large the ball of light appeared at its largest, I would estimate it was approximately 1/5 the size of how a full moon appears in the sky with the naked eye.
