RemarksI have seen many meteors while sailing through the Gulf Stream to Bermuda; including hearing sonic booms. I have been an avid amateur Astronomer for over 35 years. In my opinion, given how this thing fragmented, there must be some fragments that made it to the ground (assuming the meteorites did not hit the water). Given my position at the time and my having grown up in Huntington, the fragments probably passed over Long Island towards upstate New York- maybe Connecticut. I would love to hear what youmay find out. :) Art
