Remarks | I am the police chief at Millersville University. I worked about 8 years of my 26 years in policing within patrol on night shift. This observation was a first for me, it was really neat, two of our students also saw if as we were talking outside of our student center. At first, due to the brightness and trajectory I was sure that it was very close to our location, that it would have struck earth at most a mile away. However, I began to believe that it may have been hard to judge the distance, and I heard no sounds. I called our County 911 center to check if they had received any other calls in the County which they had not. I read on this site this was seen throughout the NE and in Canada, I would be interested in knowing the best determined trajectory and where it likely landed. Thanks! |
