Remarks | I don't know if it was "fragmenting" but it was certainly glittering significantly. When I first saw it I thought perhaps someone had launched a firework, but at no time was it moving in an arc or in an upward direction. It descended from the moment it first appeared. It probably seemed to last longer than it actually did, so my best estimate is that it was visible for about 2 seconds. It didn't leave a persistent trail, but the impression I had was that there was something similar to a trail that followed closely behind the fireball, extinguishing at about the same rate the fireball was traveling; in other words, the entire trail was never the same length as the path of the fireball. |
