I saw a smoking fire once some years ago. When it left my sight I expected to see an explosion like an airplane crash. I was sitting down in my living getting ready to go upstairs to bed when I saw a very bright "ball" falling straight down with a short following tail, looking out my sliding glass door to the back porch. It disappeared behind the trees. I told my wife "I think I just saw a fireball!'
