This report has been linked to the following event: Event 1420-2015
Observer
NameVickie Gail R
Experience Level1/5
RemarksLooking southwest of my area in sky I saw what appeared as a rocket going up and thought what is happening ...was quite large like a rocket (was about 60ft long) and in seconds it was over my land and I must say it looked like I could just reach up above the trees and in seconds it was beyond my land past the forest and about 2 minutes later I heard a boom. I reported it online at the website The Latest Worldwide Meteor news and I see that they know of a Russion Kosmos that was in re=entry about the same time of my sighting...and there are many other reports on that website with a photo from NASA if you would take a look. thought I would report on your website also as they may need the info. I tell you it was just above the trees and appeared to be quite swift and very quiet..I thought someone had invented a most unusual firework display but it was after 1am and it is not yet the 4th of July.
