Remarks | I was driving home from work in Purchase on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich. The flash appeared briefly from right to left when I was driving north I believe between exits 28 and 29. I thought it might have been a plane on fire since I was near Westchester airport, but I thought it was too small to be a plane, then I thought it may have been fireworks, but that too was weird since it was traveling horizontally instead of vertically and also a very sparsely populated area and odd time of the evening for fireworks. I forgot all about this until I saw the report online today. Glad the mystery is solved on what it was! |
