Remarks | This was the largest fireball I have seen in my life. It was white at the center and appeared to have an orange bow wave in front with short orange trails quickly ending. No apparant rotation. From where I viewed this in Asheville, if anything remained to make contact with earth, it was traveling on a line from Mars Hill toward a point east of Charlotte. I hope there are other sightings reported to triangulation this. |

Remarks | It quickly grew in size from less than Venus to 5 times as large white center with orange leading edge and orange trails and then disappeared . It was traveling from NW to SE at about a 45 degrees angle from where I was looking east.without explosion visually , I was driving , could not hear possible sounds |
